The village of Treppignana is only 13 minutes away from the bustling market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and 20 minutes from Barga. Lucca is 48km away and the journey to Pisa airport (70km) takes less than 1½ hours hours.

Both the coast (Forte dei Marmi) and well equipped ski resort of Abetone are about an hour away by car while the small village Careggine has ski runs and is just 25km (30 minutes) away
